On July 4, 2012 we will have an excursion to the history of Bayburt and its surrounding area. Depending on time allowance, we may have a city sightseeing tour as well.

Aydıntepe Underground City
The ruins of antique underground city, which are located in Aydıntepe, are believed to be the part of antique Harde city. The previous name of Aydintepe was Hart, and it is believed believed that this name is originated from the antique name Halde. The entrances of the antique city begin with corridors, square shaped rooms with arched entrances are located on the both sides of the corridors.
The entrance of the underground city and its landscape arrangements have been renovated for the sake of national and international tourism.
Baksı Museum and Art House
Baksı Museun is also located in Bayburt. Its complete location is called Çayırlar Locality, Bayraktar Village, -which is prevailing to Çoruh Valley on a land of 20 decares. The village has 80 houses and 45 km. away from Bayburt citycenter. Baskı museum in on a historical location where the Silk Road passes, and it is known with its natural beauties. According to Marco Polo, who visited Bayburt in the 13. Century, these lands are of the most beautiful places of the world.
